Just Checking In With A Shot I Took Yesterday… HAPPY SATURDAY!!! :)

NittanyViewPark

How’s it going everyone?! Hope that your weekend is going GREAT so far, if it IS the weekend where you are, right now, as you are reading this! Yesterday I got out a bit and enjoyed the (decent) weather for the first time this Spring. Pennsylvania was harsh this Winter!! Nonetheless me and my girlfriend walked around Nittany View Park in Boalsburg, PA a bit. They have a pretty decent walkway/path that we’ll hopefully be using a lot this Spring and Summer, and on such walkway I took the above shot.  Just getting warmed up for all the photography I plan on shooting this year!!!!!

Today it’s mostly an office day for me, and tomorrow I hit one of my local Flea Markets (weather permitting) for the first time this year!!!! If not tomorrow, there are SEVERAL upcoming “Brent opening days” I have my eyes on!!!! ;)

2013, (finally) GET READY! :)

GREAT DAY In The Co-Ops!

What’s happening everyone?  First off hope that you are all doing well.  I spent the day working in two of my co-op booths/antique mall booths.  I worked on my booth at Big Valley Antiques in Milroy, PA as well as my booth at Plaza Centre Antiques in Bellefonte, PA.  Took in some fresh merchandise, switched some things between the booths, and changed things around in general.  Always leads to a nice little bump in sales when I spend the day doing just that.

Within the next few days/week I need to get into my final booth, at Roller Mills Antiques in Lewisburg, PA, and do a nice little “fresh up” there as well.  I’m also looking to get some new shelves/display cases into all three locations within the coming weeks and months.  2013 is another year of growth!

ROLLERMILLSadTonight I’m going to spend relaxing with the girlfriend, AND getting a little bit of office work accomplished (as I can without getting in trouble!).  Tomorrow is going to be a HUGE office day for me.  Lots of email to respond to/send, tagging to get done, photographs to take, listing to hopefully accomplish, consultations to participate in, and get ready to be out BUYING strong this weekend!!!!!

If I don’t get into Roller Mills beforehand, next Thursday (my regular co-op day) will be kicking off with a Roller Mills trip to unload fresh finds & refresh the booth!  I love what I do!

Oh, and have I mentioned that I’m getting a new camera this weekend? THIS is going to be fun!

ENDED my 2012 with a trip to HersheyPark’s “CHRISTMAS CANDYLANE!”

2012 was the second year that myself and my girlfriend have had Season Passes to HersheyPark in Hershey, PA.  Due to various reasons it was also the FIRST time we’ve been able to attend their “Christmas Candylane” event.  We’ve now attended all Seasonal events including “Christmas Candylane,” “HersheyPark In The Dark,” and “Springtime In The Park.” Here are some of my favorite photographs from the journey! ENJOY!

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: OUP To Set Up at Renninger’s of Kutztown.

After relaunching OUP on eBay in October 2010, and launching my first retail space with business partner/friend Scott at Big Valley Antiques at the beginning of April 2011, you may have wondered what is next.  Well, I’m here to tell you all.  On Saturday, June 4th, 2011 I will be setting up, for the FIRST time, at a Flea Market when I will be setting up at Renninger’s of Kutztown in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.  The Flea Market will be running that day from 7 AM until 4 PM, as usual.

I’ve visited, and made money from, Renninger’s of Adamstown, PA, Renninger’s of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Renninger’s of Kutztown.  Renninger’s has been one of my favorite go-to markets for quite some time, so it’s only fitting that OUP’s first official booth at a Flea Market is at Renninger’s.  The only Renninger’s market I’ve yet to explore is Renninger’s of King of Prussia, PA, and that will be happening soon :)

Regardless, if you’re in the Kutztown, PA area on June 4th, stop by and check out our space!  There will be all sorts of unique antiques, and some surprises!  In the meanwhile continue to check out OUP on eBay (http://stores.ebay.com/OUnitProductions) and OUP at Big Valley Antiques (47 Auction Circle.  Booth 282.  Milroy, PA 17063).

Check out the following link for more information on Renninger’s of Kutztown, and we’ll have more details soon!

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: Proud & Excited to Announce OUnitProductions.com’s First Retail Space!

Since relaunching on October 1st, 2010, OUP on eBay (http://stores.ebay.com/OUnitProductions) has done really well.  As much as I had hoped, but much more than I honestly believed.  It’s become a very steady source of income, and with each passing day the antiques buying/reselling business comes closer and closer to being my full-time job.

For over two years now I’ve worked full-time as a Shift Manager/Assistant Manager at a local Papa John’s Pizza.  It’s treated me well, and provided me with a great launching pad to persue my dreams and goals.  For that I am very thankful.  My plan right now is to leave Papa John’s on May 31st, 2011, and run my company full-time.  I may stay around a day or two per week, or get a different part-time job, that’s yet to be decided.

Since OUP on eBay has done so well, I am very proud to announce today that I just signed the lease agreement for my first retail space, at Big Valley Antiques, a local antiques co-op located in Milroy, Pennsylvania.  This Sunday I am going to be beginning to move merchandise into the booth.  I am doing it as a half-and-half partnership with a good friend/business partner of mine, Scott Newhart.  We both have a passion for this business which really can’t be described, or I believe, matched.

I have huge ideas and goals for this booth.  There are going to be pieces hanging on the wall, antique shelfs to display items, eventually glass display cases.  As is the case with everything I do, I dream big, and this is no exception.  I want to make my booth the top booth at Big Valley Antiques, and I won’t rest until I reach that goal.  OUP on eBay is going to continue to be my top priority, and it will see some of my most exciting and big ticket merchandise first, but having Big Valley as a secondary outlet is going to enhance my business and make it step up to an entire new level.

Once again, I dream big.  This is really just the beginning of a master plan.  There will be more antiques co-ops in the future, I will be setting up at weekly Flea Markets, and OUnitProductions.com will continue to grow and develop into the company that I have had this vision for since back in October of 2005 when it launched.

I truely believe… in the power of believe.  If you can think it, and you want it, you can do it.  In order to be successful, you need to be passionate about what you do.  If you have that passion, nothing can stop you.  I’ve said it many times over the years, and today it holds true more than ever… OUnitProductions.com, Stay Tuned!

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #21 – December 29th, 2010!

This shot was uploaded on October 24th, 2010 inside HersheyPark at their “HersheyPark In The Dark” event.  I am still kind of upset that I missed “Christmas Candylane” this year, but there is always next year, right?  Anyway, this was my first year attending this event, and I had a blast!  We actually hit every other seasonal event this year EXCEPT “Christmas Candylane.”  LOVE HersheyPark!

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #20 – December 28th, 2010!

This shot was uploaded on August 8th, 2010, and was taken on the 7th.  That day me and Brandi took both of our Mother & Sister’s to HersheyPark.  It was an awesome day, we had a great time, and this is one of my favorite shots from that day.  I really like how I captured the sprinkler, the people having fun in the lazy river itself, and the lifeguards “in action,” or, maybe flirting a little bit.  Regardless, one of my favorites!

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #19 – December 27th, 2010!

Here it is… the beginning of the FINAL week of 2010, and the final week of 2010′s “OUP Photography Month.”  This shot was uploaded on July 8th, 2010.  The shot itself was taken on July 4th, from the V.I.P. viewing area of our local “4th Fest” fireworks display.  It was a pretty awesome sunset, as you can tell.  Our fireworks display, here in State College, PA, is actually ranked one of the best in the country… something to be proud of!

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #9 – December 13th, 2010!

This shot was uploaded on April 11th, 2010 and shows HersheyPark in the background, shot from inside Hershey Gardens in Hershey, Pennsylvania!  This was a trip we took this year for “Springtime In The Park,” and let me tell you, I can’t wait to go back!  I absolutely LOVE the town of Hershey and would love to possibly someday live there.  I wanted to go back to Hershey Gardens in the middle of this Summer to view them during full bloom, but that didn’t happen.  Maybe 2011 will be the year for that!

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #8 – December 10th, 2010!

I uploaded this shot on April 4th, 2010.  It was one of the first days, if not THE first day I got out in Spring 2010 to start shooting photography.  This shot is of a stream at the Boalsburg Military Museum in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.  Over the years this has been one of my favorite spots to shoot photography locally, although it’s not that big of a place.  I’m sure I’ll be back at some point this year to shoot once again.

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #7 – December 9th, 2010!

This shot was taken and uploaded on February 14, 2010 right in the heart of downtown Hershey, Pennsylvania.  I was there with my girlfriend Brandi to attend “Chocolate Covered February In Hershey,” including different events at The Hershey Story and Chocolate World.  It was a great Valentine’s Day…. now only if I can top it this coming year :)

“OUP Photography Month” Shot #5 – December 7th, 2010!

I uploaded this shot on July 26th, 2009.  It was taken at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  This is their “Possessed” rollercoaster, and it’s really the one that got me back into rollercoasters.  There was a period in my life where, well, I wouldn’t say I was “afraid” of them, but I just didn’t enjoy them.  I remember being nervous before getting on this, and afterwards, loving it!  Can’t wait to go back to Dorney Park sometime soon!
