What’s going on guys?!? First and foremost, I just wanted to let you all know that my auction day yesterday was an absolute WIN. I actually only ended up going to the first of the two I had planned, simply because the first ended up being such a great auction, and also I ended up being there from about 1 PM EST until about 9 PM EST! Crazy day! Put this auction in my short list of favorites for sure.
I got so much stuff that my week ahead is going to be super busy processing for eBay, Etsy, and all three of my co-op booths. However I am so excited that the work almost seems like nothing compared to the money I’m going to be making! The funny thing about this business, and just simply working for yourself in general, is that even when you work 100+ hours per week it never really seems like it. I absolutely love what I do for a living!
Honestly, not to brag or anything, but getting out to this auction yesterday just made me realize how good I am at what I do. I have been full-time now for over two years and I continue to see myself grow. My eye is way more trained than it was when I began. The thing is, it will continue to get better and better. As is the case with anything, the more effort, time, and passion you put into what you do, the better you will become.
I am in-the-trenches right now working on “Project X,” as well as other side projects coming in 2013, but for this week only (at least for now) I’ve decided to kick it “old school” and put out exclusive episodes of “Picking” right here on BrentOtt.com! These will be unlisted YouTube videos, which EVENTUALLY I may make “public” on YouTube, but I thought it would be fun to do this! I get a lot of email, comments, and other messages asking to showcase more hauls. This week I am answering that request and doing so strong with these several new episodes. For me 2013 is a year of several things. First off, I am of course growing the entertainment and content end of my website/company, but at the same time I am focusing heavily on growing the retail end as well. There are a lot of people who talk. I myself am a talker. But if you truly deserve to have the RIGHT to talk and entertain, you must still be able to prove that you can DO. Believe me you, I STILL know how to make things happen!
The fact that these episodes will only be seen by a smaller audience, and the ones who truly appreciate what it is I do, really means a lot to me. I hope you guys enjoy seeing what I have NEVER stopped doing these last few months, and also enjoy seeing how my buying skills have changed and grown. 2013 will be a year of growth for “Trash Talk & Treasures,” “Project X,” BrentOtt.com, OUnitProductions.com, EVERYTHING I do. It will however be a year of MUCH more doing, and less saying, or “talking about.” It’s time to crush it on an entire new level!
Enjoy the episode and LEAVE SOME COMMENTS! Either on the video itself or in the comments below!
Awesome haul, Brent – love this new format of videos here on your channel! I had no idea those vintage photos would be worth anything. I have BOXES of them in my house of old family photos (most people we can’t even identify). Maybe I need to pimp out the fam and make some money!!!

I love big sign auctions!!!!! Lots of times way too crowded with collectors though.. thanks for dropping in and watching man!!! There’s no place like home! Lol
That second box was sweet, that’s very cool. Great subject matter. That may just be a real signed Bush photo. The owner of the restaurant I work at, there son works for George Bush down in the Dallas area. Great stuff as always. Can’t wait to see what else you got.
I am thinking it is an actual Bush photo… not yet 100% sure… it does seem to be. THANKS for dropping in and especially for commenting! I really appreciate it! I’ll have the next two videos, one tomorrow/Sunday and one Monday! Got lots of cool stuff!
